Eddie Murphy v akční sci-fi komedii o Měsíci plném hazardu. Píše se rok 2087. Na Zemi byly zakázány všechny druhy hazardních her, a tak se novým rájem všech vášnivých hráčů stal Měsíc, kde začaly růst kasina a herny jako houby po dešti. Jeden z mála prosperujících podniků, kde je hazard zakázán, provozuje dobrodruh a pašerák Pluto Nash. Když však odmítne návrh Rexe Cartera, který chce jeho podnik koupit a proměnit v doupě hazardních her, dočká se odplaty. Podnik exploduje a v následné přestřelce se podaří uniknout jen Plutovi, zpěvačce Dině a starému robotovi Brunovi. Rozhodnou se odhalit pravdu o Carterovi a jeho zločinech, současně však musejí prchat před jeho zabijáky. Ani úkryt na odvrácené straně Měsíce jim nepomůže, a tak skončí v Carterově sídle. Pokud Pluto něco rychle nevymyslí, zemřou.
