Will Henry (Jemaine Clement) je na prahu štyridsiatky a stále sa cíti mladý. Je rešpektovaným grafikom komiksových noviel a učiteľom triedy začínajúcich mladých výtvarníkov, s ktorými neváha zdieľať svoje súkromné problémy. Tým najvážnejším problémom, ktorý mu strpčuje život, je moment, kedy ho opustila jeho žena, matka ich dvoch malých dcér, Charlie (Stephanie Allynne), kvôli komediantovi – monologistovi (Michael Chernus), ktorý snáď nie je ani vtipný. I napriek tomu, dokáže v pohode a so stoickým kľudom zvládať výchovu svojich dvoch malých dievčat, celej triedy a ešte v sebe objaviť priestor na novú lásku.
