Snaží se vypátrat víc, ale všichni, včetně jeho dívky Betty, se bojí mluvit, a v pátrání mu překáží i dvojice Claudových bodyguardů, Ross a Guild. Naštěstí má Johnny přítele Horace (Gilbert Roland), na kterého se může spolehnout.
